2014 Instant Replay

Happy 2015!

Last year my camera broke so I did a blog post as an In Memoriam for the camera by posting my favorite photos or moments captured on it.  This inspired me to do an instant replay of my year as the new year has begun.

I'm very much looking forward to 2015, but I want to take you through my favorite times of 2014.  We went on many trips, I got to see two of my best friend's marry the loves of their lives, and got to anticipate our last full year in San Diego.  A very emotional and fun reflection on this year.

JANUARY

Happy New Year!
We celebrated ringing in 2014 in Los Angeles with our friends, John and Dallas.  Colin began this year with very questionable facial hair...

Dallas and John:)

A couple weeks later I made my annual trip home to Massachusetts.  My favorite part of coming home was as soon as I landed, my dad picked me up from the airport and took me to my hair appointment in Boston.  He drove around, and when I was done, he picked me up in his van along with a bottle of red wine and cheese and crackers for our drive to the South Shore.  We sat in traffic, drank wine out of a coffee travel mug, and the knife we used to slice cheese had questionable hygiene.

FEBRUARY

In February we got the pleasure of visiting Cole in Denver.  We skied at Vail and we drank tons of beer.  What a fun trip.
Coming from San Diego, this is quite exciting

APRIL

I got a new camera after my Olympus Pen died in 2013.  This was my first attempt at playing with long exposure on my Sony Rx100.  Also, I guess I didn't do much else in April because there weren't many photos taken..

MAY

In May, one of my best friends whom I've known since Jr. High had her bachelorette party in Charleston, South Carolina.  This was such a fun weekend getaway with both new and old friends.

This was fun.  We bought a beer making kit and had fun at making our own beer.

This is our neighborhood.  So beautiful and fun at the same time.
I know everyone is probably tired of seeing these Yosemite pictures of mine, but honestly I can't get enough of them.  This trip was so amazing.  Such great company and amazing views.

JUNE

Off to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for Chrissy and Charlie's wedding.  This was a great weekend and a beautiful wedding for a beautiful couple.  Love you guys.

JULY

In July I actually went on a work trip to Seattle, WA.  I ended up staying the weekend to do some exploring since I had never been there.  I rented a FIAT and drove the entire Olympic Peninsula, slept in a motel and drank a bottle of wine alone, all while having a blast viewing amazing scenery.. or shall I say, greenery:)

Home to Vampires

This year's 4th of July was one for the books.  Our friends came to OB to celebrate at our complex along with a lot of the other tenants at our complex.  We drank all day, watched the fire works down the beach, and then we actually survived the rebels who marshmallow fought, even when they campaigned to end the war.

AUGUST

August was a one for lasts.  Last month of summer.  We attended our last concert of the year.  Then we said goodbye to Pavell as he head out to sea for 10  months.
Concert beer with a great seat.  The best.

Arcade Fire.  Amazing show.

Getting a tour of the Dewey!

SEPTEMBER

Labor Day Weekend we head up to Mammoth for some hiking, camping, and board game playing. This was a great kick off to the fall season.

OCTOBER

October was the month of love.  I flew back to Massachusetts to see my lovely Deanna marry the love of her life.  Later in the month,  Colin and I went up to Redondo Beach to watch John and Dallas, the couple we rung in the New Year with, get married as well!

Quick stop at home to have a family game night

Now back to California..

NOVEMBER

We had a mellow November to gear up for holiday spending.  We spent Thanksgiving at our friend, Mallory's, parent's house out east.  We ate a lot, drank, and watched Love Actually outside while eating dessert.  Such a great Holiday.

DECEMBER

December was a lot of fun.  I always love our apartment with the Christmas Tree.  We completed our third annual holiday puzzle.  We had multiple parties and celebrations.  We closed out the year with a gorgeous hike through Torrey Pines and watched gorgeous sunsets.

I had such a wonderful year.  It's crazy looking at all of the adventures I've been on.  I'm so happy I got to be a part of three weddings.  I really feel so lucky to have such great friends and family who made this year wonderful.  Cheers to 2015!
